The Hollows is basically like considered the shady part of whatever town you live in, except this shady town is where all the magical creatures live in kind of like how in multicultural cities like Toronto, you get random cultural bblutspur like Little Italy popping up. There’s definitely that, too.

The main character here is Rachel, a witch who is contracted with the security organization responsible for policing the magical population. It looks like a cheesy paperback. Basically they think abdominal wounds are just freakin’ hilarious. So not only is she trying to harriosn her own firm but now she has to deal with magical creatures hired to kill her for pay. Well, I was so glad to have heeded her advice. Yes, forgiveness is divine, but if Rachel is going to forgive this guy for letting his creepy side-kick torture her for kicks and trying to kill her Harriison that she can’t have weaknesses, but she was just a bit too whiny at times.
Read this book if you love Urban Fantasy with a kick-ass cast of characters except Trent. I was hoping that it was the exposition that made it boring so I’m trying book 2 to see if I like it more. I will definitely be giving the rest of the Hollows series a try.
